Greetings, readers! It’s been a long time since I’ve uploaded a blog post, so I apologize profusely for that. Having said this, Gifu Crossroads is back, bigger, and better than ever!
I am hoping to make this site into more than just a blog; I aim to make it into a central hub for information about Gifu Prefecture, along with the Gifu Crossroads Facebook page and the official Gifu tourism website, the GIFU Travel Guide. Please make use of all of these sites as you hopefully make plans to visit Gifu, the Heartland of Japan! And please do “Like!” the Facebook page to keep up with all the Gifu goodies that can be found there and to simply show your interest in/support for our prefecture!
With summer upon us, things are heating up in Gifu, and one of its most long-lasting traditions, cormorant fishing on the Nagara River (pictured) that boasts a history of 1,300 years, is just waiting for you to come and visit!
For those interested in back-issue posts from the old Gifu Crossroads blog, please enjoy those here.
I encourage you to learn about Gifu Prefecture and the fabulous places to visit here, and in addition I hope that you will comment and ask questions here on the blog as well as on the Facebook page. I’m here as a resource to help you, so please don’t hesitate to use me as such!
